The history of the Sphynx.

In 1966 there was born a nude kitten called Prune (named like this because of his looks) .Prune came out of a black and white domestic.

Prune became the base of a breeding program on a whole new breed: the sphynx.  This name was chosen because of the similarity to the Egyptian cat figurines. The breeding first had a setback because of the excessive inbreeding, but after a few good made decissions...the breed seemed to be very viable.

In the 90's the breed came through America and England to Belgium and has won a lot of popularity.
